Booger sugar

So it's been snowing and cold here all week. News freakouts claiming ARCTIC BLAST!, causing people to freak out and buy all the break and milk they can get their hands on. Just like the good ol' East Coast...

I actually really like the change in weather- it's a good way to break up the typical Portland winter of 40-something degrees and rain, and it makes me a little nostalgic. Don't miss college, but I miss the worry-free Bozeman days. Oh, and the single worst thing about Portland getting hit with snow and ice is the drivers. if you are gonna sprack out, just stay home. Or better yet, take the bus!

"Just like autumn leaves, we're in for change..."

Times are a bit strange. Work is a ticking timebomb, had two very good friends get laid off within hours of each other, and the fam is on the brink of making some serious lifestyle decisions. And on a positive note- Barak Obama.

I'm not sure why I feel the need to post anything today, other than to state the obvious- everything changes when you have a child. Don't think for a second that it's a bad thing- quite the opposite. Holden is, without a doubt, the most powerful being on the planet. He's capable of bringing me to tears and weakening my knees with the most unassuming action. Something that would be overlooked by anyone else other than his parents. Can't explain it.

Anyhow- not trying to get all emo, but what can I say? I was listening to TVOTR this morning, drinking coffee- and Province came on the iTunes. As the title of this post states, we're in for change.

Stay tuned...

Fall in Portland

Matt sent me a couple pics from a little fall afternoon ride we did. Myself on the 400, Mike on his 400, Chris on his GB, and Matt & Julie in the 356.

Oh, and here's the happy fam. Maybe Holden will be into vintage bikes when he gets older? He is looking the part already....

Baby walking

Well, kinda. Here's a little youtuber of Holden walking with the help of a wagon. Dutch is pretty excited about it, too.

Happy Time

This makes me happy...

Summer's over

So this summer it was all about motorcycles. From the Three Balls Ride to the yet-to-be-named September ride, it's been tons of fun. Of course now I'm left with two motorcycles that are limping along after a summer of harsh use. I guess this winter it's all about fixing what's broken...

For a little inspiration, watch and enjoy (thanks Jason).

And if you have more free time, check out a great site here. Forget that it's snowboarding, and take a looksee.

Black Bubblegum

I know this is rather old, but this song came on my shuffle this morning and I thought of this clip. Conan is not phased by Dillinger or Les Savy Fav. He's the man... Check out the end for his glowstick mastery followed by a calm sip from the coffee mug.

****So apparently NBC took this video down, and since it's copyrighted- no one has a good version I can post. So you will have to do with this recording of the actual tv...

Good times...

Had this one on my mind for a while. Had more than my fair share of shit times over the last few years, and I'm hoping there aren't any more major accidents or multiple family deaths in the future. Now it's all about family and looking ahead.

Oh, an thanks BJ. You are a fucking master of your craft!

Woody Harrelson has some serious vegan pull...

This little bulletin about the movie Semi-Pro came through my inbox the other day. I knew Woody was vegan, but damn. How can I get ahold of those sneakers?!

adidas Entertainment and Will Ferrell come together once again in the hilarious film Semi-Pro. adidas Entertainment Promotions (EP) continues to support this Emmy and Golden Globe nominee as his name becomes known worldwide.

Will Ferrell is an adidas fan who EP has worked with a lot in the past, so EP's work on Semi-Pro was a natural fit. Working with the costume design team of Semi-Pro, the EP group provided them with several authentic shoes (such as the Superstar Vintage and Gazelle Vintage) of the time period to figure out which kind would work best. Ultimately, the costume design team picked the Originals Pro Model II in white/white as the shoe of the Flint Tropics team, and then customized the shoe to match the Tropics’ team colors – teal and orange.

The EP team faced some interesting challenges on the Semi-Pro shoot. Due to the quantities of shoes needed, EP needed to buy the shoes from our own adidas outlet stores. Also, they had to create customized special synthetic leather pairs for avid vegan Woody Harrelson, which they were able to do thanks to the global Originals team in Germany.

fave frontman

For my first venture into this whole blogging thang, I wanna pay tribute to Tim Harrington. He's a true modern day sex symbol.....
